We enjoyed our stay in Ballys. Its not obviously themed like some on the strip but its in a great location and has the monorail connections out back. The buffet was very good when we had it as well.

i stayed at ballys, its a crappy casino , but its right in the middle of the strip, its got walk ways across the street, i gues its ok, when you check in tell them you want a room with a view of the mountains

Its old, small, and dark compared to everything around it…it is connected to the newer Paris Casino…so you’ll probably spend alot of time there…since you’ll most likely never be in your room it probably doesn’t matter…but if the price is comparable to MGM Grand, Paris, Aladin, etc. I would try another place…if you’re going for a special occasion I would not stay in Bally’s.

We have stayed there 3 times, and we like it. While it doesn’t have a theme, and isn’t as fancy as other places on the strip, you can’t beat it’s location. It’s right in the heart of the strip. It’s connected to the Paris hotel/casino.

Ballys is an excellent spot; mainly because of its centralized location. It use to be the old MGM before they built the new one.
Ballys use to be operated by MGM but now is under new ownership by the Harrah’s group. If you get a Harrah’s playing card, it’s good at all of the Harrah properties along the strip.
In terms of amenties, Ballys has everything to offer. Pool, nice clean rooms, other perks, etc. It also has a stop off point on the Las Vegas Monorail - so you can cruise up and down the strip without wearing yourself out in the hot heat.
Most people who stay at one resort tend to walk around town and visit the other buildings. Being in a central location such as Ballys will be a plus for you and your party.
FYI - I usually stay at the Westin - the rooms are very nice and it’s a little easier to navigate around the hotel. The Westin is not far from Bally’s.

the outside does not compliment the hotel at all. the rooms are decorated quite nicely and the hallways have lots of open space for you to lounge around and look out the window, maybe read a book if you wanna get out of the room yet have peace and quite. there are vending machines in the hallways next to the ice machines and the pool is kept at a nice temperature. the hotel and pool area is very sanitary and down below there are a variety of different types of shops you can go to. unlike other hotels they have some places downstairs below the casino where you can grab a bite without having to sit down in a restaurant. they have candy stores, arcade, flower shops, a spa, employment centers, among other things. the staff is pretty friendly too.
