I am planning on going to Las Vegas but I would like to have more or less an idea of how much I would spend. I don’t like casinos I just like to have a great time without throwing away my money in machines that won’t give me satisfaction. I wouldn’t like to take too much money cause then I will spend it all. I was planning a romantic trip with my boyfriend can someone suggest a nice hotel? Trip advisors?

My best suggestion is this: Don’t get an over priced hotel room, because chances are, you won’t be spending too much time in it! Go to priceline, and get rates, something on the strip, most rooms on the strip, will be pretty decent. If you want to gamble, but don’t want to throw a ton of money away, take about $200 for play money and depending on how long you want to stay, bring about $150 to eat. Hit up the casino’s buffets, and complimentary breakfasts! The buffets are usually pretty darn good, and priced excellent. Also, price some shows, and go from there. To really enjoy the vegas expeirence, you will end up using up too $1000. Tip: Don’t play the slots! Play games that require some skill. Like Video poker, or black jack. Have fun

i just got back from a week-long trip there. though my mom & i shared expenses, i ended up spending over $500 on shopping & food & alcohol alone. if you want to see a couple good shows (i.e. Phantom, Celine Dion, etc…) i’ll have to agree with a $1,000 budget at least (even if you don’t gamble).
my mom had casino comps & we ended up staying at the flamingo, harrah’s, & caesars palace for free during those 7 days. so i don’t know about good pricing, but quality-wise, Caesars Palace had the best amenities (bathroom heater, nicest pool area, etc…), Harrah’s was okay, but the Flamingo was the worst (it was very old, they had to replace the lock when we got there, & our sink clogged up… nasty) But I’m sure they’re all in a cheaper price bracket than say the Venetian or the Bellagio.
A place like Harrah’s is perfect if you plan to spend more time on the strip visiting other hotels/attractions because it’s right in the middle of everything.

Get a travel book on Vegas. They will list the hotels and you can check prices on line at any time.
I always enjoy a nice room.Recently I have stayed at MGM and Mirage. Both are lovely.
You will need money. There is magnificent shopping, great shows [ buy tickets in advance ] and some extraordinary restaurants. There are also tons of free things to do in Vegas.
After paying for your hotel you will need about $100/day per person depending upon what you plan to do.You can have a great time with much less money but that is an average. Summer is low season since it is so hot in Vegas. You will probably get some great hotel deals.
Any good travel book will clue you in.
Have a great time.

You can get by with a lot less money than you think. Just put a budget together that includes travel, hotel, and meals, gifts, sight seeing, plus a daily amount of your bankroll for any gambling that you may want to do.
Choose a hotel that will be less than $50 per night, and there are several on the strip such as the Sahara and the Stratosphere. You can pay even less off the strip.
Slots range from 1 cent to 25 dollars or more.
