Has anyone ever been to the Circus Cirus hotel in Las Vegas?

mommy of 2 asked:
We are going to Las Vegas for vacation and taking our 2 kids. I know it’s not the greatest place to take kids, but it’s all company paid trip. We figured that this hotel was more kid friendly but I have been seeing a lot of bad reviews. Could anyone tell me about their experiences there or if it’s a good place to stay.

I’ve stayed in this hotel twice and I can say that the place is okay. They cleaned our room really good and plus you won’t be in the room the whole day, you basically just need it to sleep. It’s usually the cheapest and they offer incentives for guests, your children can enjoy the amusement park and the shows they have. Overall, I think I would give it B.

It’s not as bright and shiny as many of the other hotels on the strip - but it is very family friendly. Still probably your best bet with kids.

We stayed there in FEB. this Year. DO NOT stay at the Manor.! its dirty and Noisy. When we where there people where fighting in the corridor at 4am. We called security but they never showed up.They told us we could move to another room .( In the middle of the night!!!!) The fighting was going on for over an Hour .Ok Vegas is up till early morning but that was to much. On the other Hand a Friend of mine stays at the Towers and never had a Complain. Good Luck

We have stayed at Circus Circus and found it fine. Kids cannot roam without parent supervision, in fact there is a 9:00 p.m. curfew for anyone under 18.
A great place that is connect to the hotel/casino is Adventure Dome Amusement Park, an indoor place with lots of family fun. And Circus Circus has a pool outside their manor (motel) that is great for kids.

Before we moved here in ‘92 we stayed at Circus Circus a couple of times with the kids. It’s an older hotel, and it’s pretty crowded. The manor rooms are aways from the tower and you get to them by tram. My kids loved this, and if you stay in the manor, your kids will love taking the tram too. There’s a very nice steakhouse, a fairly decent buffet and lots for the kids to do. The arcade, of course and watching the circus acts. And there’s the Adventuredome for the rides.
Circus Circus is one on the lowest priced hotels to stay at in Vegas. It show, too, however, having kids, it’s a good choice for you.

From what I’ve seen, it’s a great place to visit with kids but not to stay in. I recommend Excalibur. It’s another kid-friendly hotel on South strip and it is convenient to everything. They have a neat midway downstairs with a bunch of Carnival games that are not overpriced, and it’s very easy to win prizes. We stay there every year whether we have the kids or not, and we love it. It runs about $51/night on special, but I have never really seen it more than $81/night on weeknights.
It is connected to both Luxor and Mandalay Bay, and right across the street from MGM Grand.

We stayed at Circus Circus last August and are looking very forward to going back again on Sunday. We stayed in the West Tower and the rooms were great. Maid service was good, rooms were clean and didn’t have any noise problem. The bus stops right out front so its very handy. Our kids are grown and we still enjoy staying there. I don’t understand why it gets bad reveiws. I’m sure its not as fancy as some of the others but I know they just redid all the west tower rooms. Be aware there are long lines to check in and keep an eye on the kids because its a real busy place. I hope you have a great trip.
