Where can I find a list of bad hotels to stay at in Las Vegas? What is the cheapest dumpiest hotel?

Suncoast off the strip. On the strip, the dumpiest is either Imperial Palace or Casino Royale.
If the Western rooms were available, they would be the hands down choice but Gold Spike downtown would still be in the running.

Actually, every casino downtown will give you a midweek room for less than $50 a night. And it doesn’t have to be horrendous. The casinos are better deals than the low cost motels mid-week.

If you want to stay over a weekend, then the casinos are not a good bet. A place like Happi Inn across from the Luxor will give you a room for a week for $200. The problem is you can’t start on a friday or Saturday.
Here is the cluster of old motels on Las Vegas Blvd South where you can probably negotiate weekly rates for less than Saturday night Stay at a first rate Casino.

“The Western” has closed most or all of the rooms. It is not just a dump, it’s dangerous.

Hit the “search availability” button on top of the Plaza Hotel website. Most weekdays rooms start at $26-$29 weekdays. This is a very large hotel (1000 rooms) that is situated right over the Greyhound station. Buffet is $7.77 at all hours of the day. Rooms are threadbare, but everything works. The beds are comfortable, but the TV’s are tiny.
-Most people recognize this hotel as “Biff’s Casino” from the Back to the Future movies in the late 1980’s.

Here is a long list of bad hotels in Vegas. Some of them are so bad and so cheap you gotta love them.

The Califonia downtown total dump and pretty scary

My top two are the Gold Spike and the Western, a couple of real dumps. Even the homeless refuse to hang out at the Gold Spike.

Stay at hooters its not really a dump, I really like it there, but we got a room for 35 a night.
Also Bill’s gamblin hall is cheap.
Circus Circus Travelodge is a dump.
Tropicana rooms **** you could probably spend 50 there.
